Good job guys! I love ya.
;)
I just wanted some re-assurement (word?) on wether or not people are
reading my blog. You are, and I am HAPPY!
So; since you guys liked the vid so much, Ill make another one.
Help me out with topics!
I was thinking something along the lines of dressage, vaulting, jumping, or maybe wild horses.
Comment if you have any ideas.
Just came back from my riding lesson. It was awesome! We cantered in pairs while everybody was walking around the circle, and the teacher said that I did it perfectly <3
I usually bounce in the saddle because I can't keep my weight down (butt in the saddle), so I was pretty happy.
Oh, and if you have checked out the Garrod Farms website,
http://www.garrodfarms.comyou know that it takes a lot to get into the English Riding Summer Camp. Most people, even if they have taken a set of lessons and done a few camps
have to start out in Western A. Maybe Western B. But no, Nicole reccomended me for the English.
Can you stay
estatic ?!Hehe. I can't wait!
Talk to you all later,

So prouda myself.
But, im taking a strike. Im not going to post 3x a day

This blog is part of my day, so I

Hey my lovely readers.
:)
Houston, we have a problem; really.
I need a little help here.
Have you ever had a friend that's
really a downer, and slightly a leech? If you know what I mean, you'd like her a lot, but you wanna slap her at the same time. Get it? Yeah... not giving out her name, but she is in my morning riding lessons at Garrod Farms. We've had a few sleepovers and everything, and I feel as if the whole time she is kind of rude...
and she likes to copy
everything I do, and it gets really annoying. She even has the exact same breeches as me. On purpose. :
Any suggestions?
HELP ME.
and please comment. I understand school and stuff makes everybody busy, not to mention
the extracurricular sports, but I
know that people have been voting on the polls, so you must not be
that busy. It only takes a few seconds, and they are greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Hey readers. I have no idea wether you were here for the 1-hour down time my site decided to take. The music player at the bottom froze up the blog!
Yesterday was supposed to be a swim meet at Evergreen Valley! It was better than that.
We boarded the busses, and set off onto the street. About two minutes later, we get a call:
"The meet is canceled. Somethings wrong with their pool."
thank god.I didn't get decent sleep the night before.
So, instead, we held a "time trial" sort of thing, and we got to choose our own events. Me, being a breaststroker, chose the 100 breaststroke, and the 50 free.
Im so happy- I placed first in the heat for both of them.
Between heats, we spread out a towel and shared the food we prepared for the 4+ hours that we were to stay at EV. But it was good here, too. :)
Well... doing more updates on my blog!
Stay tuned-

Time for an update.
Okeydokey... lets see here. Ill leave Maddi to tell you all about the party; I don't feel like doing it right just yet.
To tell you the truth, nothing interesting has been happening...
We have a swim meet today; that should be fun. I hope we don't get as crushed as we did in the Leland meet.
Ouch.
Im shopping online right now. Choosing out new riding clothes I want for various occasions:
Breeches (stretchy pants)-

I already have a few pairs, but hey. Purple is cute :D
Alrighty then; probably should be getting ready. Talk to you all later!

Ugh. I hate being in this situation.
- My crush dosn't like me (Im pretty sure)
- I don't have the guts to tell him because of the above
- Everybody is saying that I should ask him to Sadies
- All this plus school. (UGH!)
Well... I guess its just another obstacle in the road. Ill wait and see what happens and let you guys know as soon as ANYTHING happens.
Ew; im reading The Thief Lord book again (haha; Maddi: PROP!!), and when Tux was here, about a year ago, he decided to take a chunk out of the bottom left corner. Luckily, none of the words were cut off. ☻
Ah... I miss that guy.
Sorry for such a boring post- but hey; nobody's forcing you to read it, eh?

Ponder
that. :)
This is a tagline of Sweet Briar College's website; its an all girls college with the most beautiful campus ever. Take a look:
http://sbc.edu/
Best of all, they have a riding academy! >>
http://sbc.edu/riding/
Girls, isn't the website ahdorable!?
They are the only college with
pink as an official color. Their team colors, the Vixens, are
pink and
green. I told Brenna that it reminds me of argyle!
Their food is cheap and really really awesome, their dorms are roomy and cute, and the trails; ohmygosh. Can't even imagine. But according to their virtual tour, it's pretty damn beautiful.
So; im going there. Forget those stiffy ivy-league schools like Princeton- Sweet Briar is the
way to go for equestrians!
Oh yeah; did I mention it's in Virginia?
-Hallie ♥
10:17 AM
No; its true.
Don't ask.
:)
Sooooo... last night, Brenna slept over! :D
We watched (guess) Flicka, ate candy (RIESENS and Junior Mints), and dreamed happy.
Because this morning, we went on a ride! It was pretty fun, other than the fact that
Flyer wouldn't trot for Brenna. She says he was having a "
bad day" but I think he just didn't feel like listening. She needs a crop! ;)
Beat the pony!Haha; but really. You sometimes have to wake them up, and most of their horses
arent morning people. (morning horses....?)
Have a good day folks !
Oh yeah; new video with music at the bottom of my page; i was getting fed upwith waiting for the stupid "The Music Hutch" thing to load. Took forever. And the song skipped. So... yeah.-Hallie ♥

Sheesh. Now I know why people buy STALLIONS and not mares.
Much more even-tempered!
Today during my weekly riding lesson, Wiz was acting hormonal. Yes, thats right. PMS. (Purrsnickety Mare Syndrome)
;)
We were trotting in the arena, and she had her ears slightly back the whole time. Whenever a horse came hear her, she scooted her rear end toward them and kicked. Nicole allowed me to use the other half of the arena to get her under control. Oh, did I mention she had her teeth floated yesterday? Not fun. (like braces work for horses- ow.)
Its not her fault though. She apologized at the end when I dismounted and shook my head at her. She rammed her head into me and nuzzled, smearing horse slobber all over my jacket. Thanks, Wiz. ♥
Jussie and Calvin did the same thing. They're all acting frisky today. Its weird- maybe they can feel the storm coming, like dogs do? I know that Tux used to whine and pace around the house before big storms and that 5.-something earthquake. I think they can tell, cause Wiz is a really well behaved horse.
:)
Well, gotta go clean my room before Ashley comes over. Can't wait to see her-
she's coming from a while away just to visit for a week and to ride in the morning.

Hey peeps-
Fun day today! :D
Melissa and I (...and the rest of the school) got out at 11:30. I ♥ minimum days.
We went to the Pruneyard and ate lunch at Togos, got Starbucks, and checked out the new Clique book at Barnes and Nobles, much to Melissa's dismay. (jk; she loves books. [haha. no])
We walked around, texting and talking and she went home with me, and is watching me over my shoulder as I write this. ;)
As we were
so bored (JK!), we drew on my mirror in eyeliner; we drew a crown [that was sposed to go on our heads as we looked in the mirror- didn't work out so well], and a magic fairy wand. She also added a "I ♥ melissa" label. I added the "I ♥ horses" one; of course.
Okies- gotta go!

Another relaxing morning. (haha; no.)
Well... looking forward to this weekend. My riding instructor(s), Nicole and Crystal, are teaching us jumping and vaulting. Can't wait!
The weekend is jam-packed with stuff to do!
Otherwise... the rest of this day stinks.
Ah. Boo-hoo.
For all you horse lovers:
An out-of-towner drove his car into a ditch in a desolated area. Luckily, a local farmer came to help with his big strong horse, named Buddy. He hitched Buddy up to the car and yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull!" Buddy didn't move.
Then the farmer hollered, "Pull, Buster, pull!" Buddy didn't respond.
Once more the farmer commanded, "Pull, Coco, pull!" Nothing.
Then the farmer nonchalantly said, "Pull, Buddy, pull!" And the horse easily dragged the car out of the ditch.
The motorist was most appreciative and very curious. He asked the farmer why he called his horse by the wrong name three times.
The farmer said, "Oh, Buddy is blind. If he thought he was the only one pulling, he wouldn't even try."
Hehe.

Today was 3/12. Seems like nothing, right? Well, at our school, there was a graffiti that said "
312" and
supposedly said "
shoot 'em up" three times. Well, our school, as protected as it is, became worried and called in the police. There was a robbery in the equipment stand above the track and bowl, so people thought that the graffiti was linked to that. Turns out, nothing happened. The robber was caught (please correct me on this if I get it wrong) and no shooting happened.

Ugh; cant we just have a little peace? ☺
And because of
those people who missed school, swim practice isn't gonna happen. Cause there was not enough people. Happy? :l
So, that's my report for the day. Nothing really happened besides us freaking out and shedding our layers of
red and
blue. Did my pilates DVD. My turtle, Rusty, came out of hibernation. (woot.) Arena ride still planned for Sunday morning!
Oh, as you can hear, I changed the song. My family really likes this song. :) If you dont like it, I don't really care. Press pause.
Adios,

Answer me this: do you discriminate?
Horses, silly!
I mean, come on. Everybody does it sometime, right? We get to go on a trail ride, going
"Oh, I hope I don't get that small shrimpy horse over there..."
Poor pony. They might have a real treasure inside. ♥
I figured out last Saturday, they do. They really do. They also have a lot of character. Unlike the push-button ponies that are bought and bred.
Lemme tell you the story.
I was standing by the posting hitch, waiting to be assigned a horse for my weekly riding lessons. In my head, looking at the smallest horse (not that small, but still), I thought subconciously 'I hope I get Wiz and not Tonto'. You guessed right; I got
Tonto. But guess what? As I enter the arena, I give him the crop to move into the canter, and the transition is perfect. The trot is perfect. The canter is perfect. He still dosn't beat my girl, Wiz, but he sure gets pretty dang close.
I learned a lot that morning. The treasures can be on the inside, like the old saying your mom used to tell you; "Dont judge a book by it's cover". Too true, friends.
Just love 'em all. Don't have to like them, just love 'em.

Well, I should probably be getting a head start on my homework, or else Im gonna hafta do it on the horse! Haha, that reminds me. One of my non-horsey friends told me to text her while I was riding. (laughs)

Yes. It's coming. The season of four-leaf clovers, the color
green, and potatoes. That's right; potatoes. Not only do we use them because "
leprechauns"
absolutely love them but we eat them. Not the normal ones that grow underground, but the Sees candy ones. If you
haven't had them before, I feel deeply sorry for you.
Looky here:
http://www.sees.com/Prod.cfm?CatGroup=00511501OMG they are good. The outside, as you probably read, is chocolate/cinnamon/cocoa powder and the inside is nougat with pine nuts. Best of all, they
look like a potato. I won't have to wait for long, since we are going to my abuelo y abuelas house, and they ALWAYS pass them out. :)

Hey; a horse question for people here:
When I go on arena/trail rides, Sage always pulls on the reins. Sometimes, he even pulls them out of my hands. I am not putting that much "direct contact" to his mouth, so his bit should not be uncomfortable. Any suggestions on how to make this more confortable for him?Thankoo <3

Santana Row is awesome. As from the words of my friend, S, "If people only saw Santana Row when they came to Cali, they'd leave thinking 'WOW! California is beautiful.'" Its true, though. It really is.
When we were in the middle of Santana Row, near the fountain, we threw in pennies, quarters, nickels and dimes and wished for a few (okay, a lot) of things.
Me:
- World peace
- End to animal slaughter and abuse
- End to global warming
- To be best friends with Labby
- A horse. (wishing for almost ten years)
S
- To be best friends with _______ (a Bellarmine guy)
- More clothes
- To be rich (really creative.)
M
- I WISH FOR CLOTHES!
Okies, M.
We were traveling to Santana Row and S pulls out of her purse a chocolate she calls "Karate Chocolate". When I asked, she explained that M thought instead of "chai tea chocolate" it was "tai chi chocolate". Another "wow award" for M.
I love you guys :))

So, really. Comments would be awesome.
Hey you guys; I want your opinion on 2 posts below (called "This Is How A Heart Breaks"). Im in serious need, and you guys have pretty good advice.
Got back from riding lessons a half an hour ago, and we actually did an English Hack* trail ride. Pretty fun, seeing that we were cantering* half the time. If any of you know the Garrod Farms horses, I got Sage. Bit impatient, but hey. So am I. Cavalettis* next time; I hope I get Wiz. She treats them like cross-bars*!
For all of you that don't understand the horse lingo above... look at the very bottom of the post!
I will go comment on your blogs to show you that yes, I do comment.
:)
Thanks though.
-Hallie ♥
*Hacking: Like a normal trail ride, except on an English dicipline, and more "proper" looking.
**Cantering: Running, basically. Faster than the trot, slower (but not much) than the gallop.
***Cavaletti: Teeny jumps, usually 1-1 1/2 feet tall.
****Cross-bars: A jump that looks like an "X" made with two wooden pieces, usually about 2-4 feet tall.
7:37 AM
Hey. Stalling my breakfast because I don't feel like food. Ever have that happen? Ugh. I went to Chili's last night and Im

After officially "giving up" on Labby, I realized that yes, I still do like him.
But this time, Im not putting my whole heart into the subject. I am not going to post about him, talk about him incessantly, like I usually do to my friends, and above all,
im not going to get upset when he talks to other girls. After all; he dosn't know I like him, because I havn't told him. So it's not really fair on his part.
So... Ive figured out the ups and downs of having a crush; mostly the downs though. The ups were the fun part. :)
Listening to the song "This is how a heart breaks" by Rob Thomas, the blog title screamed at me at the end, if you were wondering how I got such a dramatic title. (My so-called "romance" isn't that heart wrenching. Y yo estoy no lo siento!) << For all you spanish-speakers.
Thanks for listening, and I'd <3 it if you'd comment on my opinion and decision.

Hey, a few jokes I found on some random horse website. :)
CITY FOLKSAn Easterner had always dreamed of owning his own horse ranch, and finally made enough money to buy himself the spread of his dreams out west. "So what did you name the ranch?" asked his best friend when he came to visit. "We had a heck of a time," admitted the new cowboy, "Couldn't agree on anything. We finally settled on the Double R Lazy L Triple Horseshoe Bar-7 Lucky Diamond ABC XYZ Ranch. "Wow!" his friend exclaimed, impressed. "So where are all the horses?" "None of 'em survived the branding."
TWO HORSESOne day Mary said to her husband Bob, "Why don't we get ourselves two horses? We could go on trail rides and we can keep them in the paddock behind the house." Bob thought that it was a good idea, so the next day they came home with two horses. There was one problem, however. They couldn't tell the two apart! Sometimes they would get confused and ride the wrong horse. They sat down to have a talk about what they could do to tell the horses apart. Bob said, "Well, I'll shave my horse's mane off, and we can tell them apart that way!" After a few months, the mane grew back, and they had the same problem. "I'll cut my horse's tail short, so then we can tell them apart!" said Mary. But, the tail grew out, and they still had a problem! So they decided to measure the horses. Bob would have the biggest one, and Mary would have the smaller one. Guess what they found? The black one was two inches taller than the gray one!
THE GREYHOUNDThree racehorses stood in their stalls. One said to the others, "I ran 20 races and I won 14 of them!" she bragged. The next said with a snort, "Well I ran 30 races and won 25 of them!" Then the third horse spoke up proudly, "Yeah, I won 41 races and won 39 of them!" This seemed to settle the topic, when the horses noticed a Greyhound outside their stalls. The Greyhound said, "I ran 100 races and I won 99 of them." The horses looked at each other in amazement, and one gasped, "Wow! A talking Greyhound!"
WHAT HAPPENED IN TEXAS?A cowboy rode into town and stopped at a saloon for a drink. Unfortunately, the saloon's regulars had a habit of picking on strangers. When the cowboy finished his drink and left the saloon, he found that his horse had been stolen. He went back into the bar, handily flipped his gun into the air, caught it above his head without looking, and fired a shot into the ceiling. "Which one of you sidewinders stole my horse?" he yelled forcefully. No one answered. "All right, I'm gonna have another drink, and if my horse ain't back outside by the time I finish, I'm gonna do what I done in Texas! And I don't wanna have to do what I done in Texas!" Some of the locals shifted restlessly. The cowboy, true to his word, had another drink and walked outside, to find that his horse had been returned to its post. He saddled up and prepared to ride out of town. The bartender followed the cowboy out of the bar. "Say partner, before you go," the bartender asked nervously, "what happened in Texas?" The cowboy turned back and said, "I had to walk home."
PRAISE THE LORDThere was a preacher who was trying to sell his horse. A man stopped by to see how the horse rode. The preacher told the man that instead of saying "walk" say "praise the Lord" and instead of saying "whoa" say "amen." So the man got on the horse and said, "Praise the Lord," and the horse started to walk. The man then said, "Praise the Lord," again and the horse started to trot. He said it a few more times, then the horse started galloping. Suddenly a cliff appeared. The man yelled "Whoa!" but the horse wouldn't stop. He tried yelling all sorts of things, and he tried to pull the horse up, but the horse wouldn't stop. Then suddenly he remembered what to say. The man said, "Amen." The horse stopped right before they fell off. The man was so relieved that he put his hand on his forehead and then said, "Praise the Lord."

After a day of making decisions, skipping swimming in turn for homework :( and keeping busy in Spanish to make the teacher forget about our presentation today (it worked), I thought Id change up the songs to match my feelings a bit. And after that last post, "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles seemed to fit perfectly. So, its staying. For a little while, at least.
Also, ParaChat is gone; its too hard for all of us to be on "chatting" at the same time, let alone

Also, don't forget the Guestbook at the bottom. Kind of hidden, but oh well.

Hey people;
After making a tough decision, Im NOT going to sit with Labby at lunch anymore.
Why?
Either he:
- Is too shy to do anything
- Dosn't like me.
So, im going back to my real friends by the Health rooms at lunch, and letting Labby act like a dork in front of slut sophmores in Spanish.
If he does like me, he'll have to decide for himself wether he is brave enough to tell me or not.
Ah! I hear a jingling door knob- must be my mom. Or a murderer.
;) Im not suspecting the latter....

Okies- I put a new song on here. I hope you can all recognize it, because its on the radio 24/7.
Every time I have my riding lessons at Garrod Farms, we are going up the hill as this is playing. Or somewhere along that road. Its like the radio station has a track of songs they play over, and over, and
over again.
Like when "Bubbly" by Colbie Callait was always on. (Is it still...?)

Leland swim meet was today, and LOTS of things happened.
Ill give you some quick highlights:
- I almost let slip that I liked Labby- when he was right behind me
- As I was diving into the pool, my goggles fell off. And my contacts too.
- Labby cheered me on :)
Im gonna go into more detail on # 1, okay? ;)
Okies, #1: As I had gotten out of the pool from my 400yd free relay, I stood next to M (bff, btw) and wondered in my head 'where is ______?'. Except, In my head I said his actual name. [not going to post, sorry] I was just about to voice the question when something went off in my head: "Call him Labby this time". I thought that was kind of weird, since ive never really heard VOICES in my head, ever, but I decided to listen to it. I asked M, "Have you seen Labby?" After she said 'no', I heard a "Do I have goggle marks on my eyes?" behind me. I whipped around, and sure enough, there he was. I took a really sharp breath, and he said "Did I scare you?!" with a laugh. More than you know, Labby.
Really nervewracking, seeing that there was no efficient way to 'recover' asking "Where is ____" with a i-need-him tone.
I need to listen to the voices in my head more often.

So, after school and my physical (ew. shots x2), I went to swim practice. It went by normally, until I remembered the party.
The swim party was in early celebration of our meet at Leland.
It was pretty awesome. Except it would have been better if Labby was there.
:(
Anyways, the WHOLE time my friends and I (not naming names) were telling random stories about random things, and we came upon the topic of our swim coaches name, which happens to be pretty funny sounding.
As we were talking about this [normal volume, btw], he walked around the corner and started putting food on his plate. We acted cool as he was chatting with the other adults, but we were
totally freaked out when we thought "oh crap, maybe he heard us!".
I felt so bad!
Since there were only a couple of chairs (3 total) in the corner of the dining room that we were in, the chair that the person had was taken as soon as she stood up, so two of us were constantly sitting on the floor, on people's feet or laps. It was a pretty fun time, and we
talked, and ate, the whole time! The honeydew was gone from the platter by the time we had to leave.
Pretty good party, I'd say.
Time really flies.
Hey, look at the time. 10:08. I need to do my homework.

This morning, I set my alarm clock for 5:05. ( I like to go outside in the morning and read/eat breakfast/something. ) I woke up with the blaring alarm in my ears at

- Couldn't have been my parents, cause when I checked the set time, it said, sure enough, 5:05.
- Couldn't have slept through it, because it goes of in intervals of "2 minutes". I would have had to press it like 12 times!

After a few months of pointless debating, my mom was finally proved right. Donut holes ARE actually the insides of glazed donuts,
not just a scam to trick innocent people into eating 'processed' donut holes. God forbid.
Well, that case is solved.
Now all I have to do is figure out why the moon follows you when you are driving a car. Or swimming at late swim practice.
Have a nice day pondering the imponderable above, and let me know if you have any answers.

Babysitting.I know; crazy right? But hey, everyone loves money. And I love kids. So they kinda go together.
From 6 to 10 I spent my time giving piggyback rides and watching
Naruto. One 4-year old kid (lets call him kid #1) said as we were sword fighting, "Back off, punk!" I burst out laughing. Which gave him a perfect
opportunity to sword (poke?) me in the stomach while my defences were down.
Ill admit it. The kid was good.
*Yawn* Read the time at the bottom of the post. Yeah.
Goodnight, readers.

About the butterflies.
It really is, isn't it?
I was just talking to my friend about the symptoms of love, and we compiled this list:
- Knees going weak
- Head spinning
- The all-famous butterflies-in-the-stomach
- Short of breath
- Smiling (when you don't even know it!)
- Limp body ("Can I please sit down, just for a sec?")
Theres this boy. (Yes, I know **Rolls eyes**)
He's cute. Funny. Sweet. Put it this way; whenever I see him, he rakes up brownie points faster than you can say "gaga".
Yeah. Seriously. We nickname/codenamed him "Labby" for various reasons.
He is a friends friend. And a best-friend's boyfriend's friend. He's on my swim team and goes to my school, so I get to see him at least 4x a week.
I really like him (can you tell?), but I have no idea if he likes me.
Any suggestions, anybody?

Have any of you readers read "The Clique" series by Lisi Harrison?
For those who havn't, let me sum them up in a few words.
- Rich girls, rich city, rich friends, rich neighborhood.
- Egotistic kids.
- Unrealistic plot lines.
Yet, the books are somehow drawing. Im waiting for a trip to Barnes and Nobles to get Lisi's new book, 'Bratfest At Tiffany's'. (See? The title is practically confessing.)
What makes the book so drawing, you may ask? The girls themselves.
- Massie Block (the 'confident', 'fearless' leader [note the quote marks...] of The Pretty Committee),
- Alicia Rivera (sidekick of Massie and an envied Spanish beauty),
- Dylan Marvil (red-headed, boy-habited daughter of famous talk-show mother, Merri-Lee Marvil),
- Kristen Gregory (sporty, sometimes-wise, and unsure blonde made up of muscles),
- Claire Lyons (the newest member in the group, somewhat 'outcast' of the group, but may also be the closest to [and knows most about] Massie)
The group seems to have everything under control and their lives look 'perfect'; to the untrained eye. In their life, they have problems like everybody else in this world, except theirs is that we'd call trivial.
The reason I brought them up is mainly because of Massie. Though she does seem to fake her confidence sometimes, she is greatly loved in her school. Isn't this quite rare for a popular girl to be 'loved and envied' instead of 'hated and envied'?
Maybe I need to look at this page harder. And between the lines. >> http://www.wikihow.com/Build-Self-Confidence
